Research interest:

The U1234 research unit (formerly U905) is dedicated to the study of inflammatory and autoimmune diseases of the neuromuscular system, and to the development of cell/gene therapy strategies for acquired or inherited muscle diseases, autoimmune diseases and corneal diseases. For this, the laboratory develops a basic research on the mechanisms regulating the immune system in health and disease (including neuropeptides and extracellular nucleotides), a translational research including clinical trials and monitoring of antigen-specific responses in autoimmune diseases. With support of the Department of Immunology, the Laboratory of Biotherapy and other clinical departments of Rouen University Hospital, U1234 studies the pathophysiological mechanisms of autoimmunity through murine models of autoimmune myopathies and multiple sclerosis, and the development of clinical trials.
