Research interest:

Genomic and proteomic expression profiling in neuronal and neuroendocrine pathophysiology: Identification of mRNA, miRNA and proteins, and characterization of their function through in vitro and in vivo gene invalidation approaches. Neuroendocrine tumor pathophysiology: Characterization of the signaling pathways involved in neuroendocrine tumorigenesis, including pheochromocytoma. Identification of biological markers for the diagnosis and prognosis of neuroendocrine tumors. Discovery of new therapeutics. Oxidative stress in neuronal and neuroendocrine pathophysiology: role of novel selenoproteins in neurodegenerative and metabolic diseases.
